Microcurrent is a non-invasive process that has numerous benefits/advantages and recently has been gaining in popularity. These benefits may include improved muscle tone and may also improve the overall shape and physique of the body. Keep in mind that each session should be exactly tailored to you and your specific problem areas. If you are considering Microcurrent the following information will give you a basic understanding of what it may provide.
What happens during Microcurrent and how long will it take?
A discussion regarding your reasons for wanting Microcurrent are important before any session begins. You should also make sure that your provider knows what you expect from Microcurrent and that you both agree he or she can achieve this for you. It is important to discuss the type of equipment they are planning to use and evidence of results for that particular machine. You may be asked to sign a consent form, which will mean that you have understood the potential benefits Microcurrent may provide and that you are also aware of our office policies. At your request photographs may also be taken for a “before and after” comparison at a later date. Each Microcurrent session will take approximately 30 minutes and may vary depending upon the area of focus.
This will differ depending on the type of machine used, but the following process is common: pads may be placed on areas of the body, or two special probes may glide over the surface in a precise way to enhance the different areas you have chosen; 1-2 sessions are usually recommended for the first few weeks, reducing down to once a week as the results become more evident. You are free to enjoy whatever activity afterwards as normal without any interruption to your daily routine.
You should usually see changes within the first to second sessions, but between six and ten is the average number suggested. Monthly maintenance is recommended to maintain the results after the first round of sessions is completed.
None is required and you can return to work or normal activities immediately afterwards.
